The 2008 Gewürztraminer is showing a lot of elegance early on. The lychee that we found in our 2007 vintage comes back in 2008. This time it is accompanied by passion fruit that finishes with the aroma of nutmeg laced with hints of sweet coriander seed. Lychee jumps on your palate, far more apparent when you taste this wine than it was in the aroma. After that assault of Lychee the wine evolves into flavours of quince jam, and Crenshaw melon before finishing with a perfectly balanced whisper of apricot.
